Details about the Med Tech position we are hiring for:

As a Med Aide, the primary purpose of your job position is to assist in the administering of medications to residents following company regulatory guidelines and under the direction of a licensed nurse. Other tasks include maintaining proper care records, reporting any changes in residents’ conditions, and interacting with internal and external customers in a professional manner, ensuring that resident safety and satisfaction remain a priority.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Successfully complete training as required and in accordance with state regulations
• Must have a minimum of one year of experience working with medications and the elderly population
• Must possess all required licenses and/or certifications if required by State licensing authority and maintain continuing education requirements
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
• Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the public
• Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others
• Must be able to push a med-cart, be detail oriented, and be on feet for majority of 8 hour shift.
• Able to fulfill the essential functions of the job, and pass company and state required background checks, and not be diagnosed with any vaccine preventable diseases as outlined for working in Assisted Living or Memory Care communities in Texas.
